Here is an exciting new opportunity as a Mechanical Project Engineer in a remote position for our client, an innovative and technology-led engineering firm for their location in Alberta. Our client is a major player in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. In this role, the Project Engineer will work with like-minded individuals to take part in planning and executing projects through the phases of engineering projects!

Job Duties:
• Organizes and controls project phases and work packages to complete engineering projects.
• Monitor and regulate project plans by reviewing performance expectations, design criteria, etc.
• Assess designs to determine specific equipment required
• Review design criteria, scheduling changes, performance specifications, execution plans and recommending appropriate actions.
• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes percent completion and trends for project status reports.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of engineering experience
• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related discipline
• Experience with stress analysis, materials engineering technical evaluations and vendor data reviews.
• Experience with software programs including Bluebeam and Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
