MES Support Specialist

TRS Staffing has an opening for an MES Support Specialist. This position works mainly under direct supervision of an MES Service Owner (Maintenance, Production, or Safety/Environmental) or one of the MES Analysts.

Position Responsibilities:

Time will be split performing routine support in the SHE, Maintenance, and Production MES areas.
Systems will include Meridium, Enablon, Material Balance, SmartPlant and miscellaneous Engineering Desktop Applications.

Typical tasks for this area will include, but not be limited to
• New user setup for MES applications
• Assist with documentation gathering and updates of Application Runbooks
• Perform routine master data updates for material balance railcars
• Assist in testing of Monthly Microsoft Patches in both test and production systems for MES systems
• Initial review of incident and service request requirements for MES systems providing Level 1 support of applications and maintaining/enhancing FAQ user documentation
• Work with end-users in identifying and resolving software related questions and problems
• Routine monitoring of MES systems and capacity monitoring
• Assist MES service owners in routine project tasks
• Install new applications and assist in deployment coordination
• Assist in deployment of mobile devices used by MES applications
Major Job Requirements:
• Experience supporting Applications
• Experience with Windows Server 2012, and Windows 10
• Education: MIS or Computer Science degree or comparable experience is a plus. Will consider candidates with 2 year associates degree
• Strong MS Office (Excel & Access) skills.
• SQL or Oracle database exposure is a plus
• Good problem-solving, analytical and team-working skills
• Able to occasionally work after hours to support patch process, or software upgrades
