Our client is seeking a Microsoft SharePoint Developer/Administrator to join their team of professionals. This position is based in Los Angeles, CA
The position will focus on needs analysis, design, build and go-live in addition to support for a large Microsoft SharePoint environment. The preferred candidate should have a strong working knowledge of the product.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, code, document, and test software and software components
- Design and participate in system testing, performance testing, failover testing, and quality assurance reviews
- Develop and implement custom features and integration with other systems
- Design and code to relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server
- Provides second-level support and assists with third-level support. Troubleshoots and manages resolution of operational problems for assigned software or hardware technologies.
- Builds understanding of communications and collaboration technologies within the organization through the creation of self-service options.
- Shares knowledge and mentors/assists team members and other peers who are less experienced or knowledgeable in a specific technology.
- Leads and direct others in the overall administration of a specialized platform or technology.
- Performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of technologies, software and solutions following established procedures and change control standards.
- Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry developments and best practices in their area of specialization.
- Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Basic knowledge and understanding of software development languages and tools to integrate communication and collaboration technologies with other applications and business systems.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of one or more infrastructure technologies such as database, network, security, server, storage, and workstations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar field (or experience to substitute for the degree requirement)
- 3 years’ relevant experience related to the planning, development, testing and supporting productive business application systems (specifically SharePoint)
- Strong experience in Microsoft SharePoint development
- Experience with the following SharePoint development and administration: Out-of-The-Box features; custom SharePoint development techniques (SharePoint JavaScript Object Model, REST, etc.), and enterprise content management
- Business and data analysis experience
- Ability to execute analysis, design, development and maintenance activities without significant, direct supervision
- Microsoft SharePoint certification (preferred)
