Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Contracts Technician to support the preparation, review, and administration of contracts and related documents. This role ensures compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and contractual obligations while maintaining accurate records and supporting internal stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts, amendments, and other legal documents.
- Maintain and update contract databases and tracking systems.
- Monitor contract performance and deadlines to ensure compliance and timely renewals.
- Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and project teams to gather necessary documentation and approvals.
- Ensure proper execution and storage of contracts in accordance with company policies.
- Support audits and reporting by providing accurate contract data and documentation.
- Identify and escalate contract risks or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support for contract negotiations and meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in contract administration, legal support, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with contract terminology, legal concepts, and procurement processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government or commercial contracts.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR, DFARS, GDPR).
- Certification in contract management (e.g., NCMA’s CPCM or CFCM) is a plus.
