As the right candidate for the role of OFTO Project Manager we are looking for candidates with experience in the following:
HND Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (i.e NVQ L4). Have experience in dealing with OFTO’s and High voltage contractors and project management.
Experience in dealing with OFTO’s, where the OFTO is the client
Experience of installation, commissioning or maintenance of HV equipment and HV project management.
Demonstrable ability to interpret and appropriately react to both leading and lagging indicators
Ability to support development of CMMS and process integration and control systems
Demonstrated progression from technician to more senior levels
Significant experience at Supervisor level
Previous experience as a Safety Controller/SAP/AP/Electrical duty holder
Support the project with developing annual O&M strategies, including budgets and CTV planning, and oversee the execution of projects and daily OFTO operations
Report on OFTO Operational Status to the O&M Team
Assist the O&M in Managing the HV contractor and engaging with the client on updates to action trackers and updates on projects and project planning.
Support the O&M TEAM with scope development, planning and managing on a daily basis the activities of all HV subcontractors executing scopes of inspection and maintenance activity on both LAL and OFTO assets
Support the O&M TEAM with the development and execution of the annual OFTO maintenance plan
Perform continual review of the annual plans and report on status to O&M TEAM
Develop and Perform regular audits on the HV contractor
Support O&M TEAM with management review of HV contractors, via development and calculation of key operational KPI.
Provide daily operational management and client oversight of all major repair or project activity carried out by LAL or subcontractors.
Support OOMF in managing the CMMS (Maximo) and ensure that all RAMS and work packs are accepted and complete
Support the O&M Team with development of the LAL operational management and setting to work systems, and integration with LAL Maximo systems
Support the O&M Team with Quality Management of all work order information produced by the HV contractor and all its subcontractors
Adhere to the LAL HSMS and support its continual development working closely with LAL HSE and AIM Teams
Support the O&M Team with the development of internal Operational Management systems solutions, processes, procedures and other documentation
Organise and manage regular daily and other communications meetings with key contractors and/or other stakeholders as determined by the O&M Team
Act as 1st level of escalation in disputes between Client (OFTO) and LAL.
Support the evolution of a LAL/HV contractor ‘one Team’ culture and engender a sense of ownership in all staff
Progress to being a HV Safety Controller -Authorised for the company HV Rules (400KV) Outage coordination for routine and reactive maintenance.
Liaise with operational stakeholders e.g Control Room, site management, National Grid / OFTO
Post 18 month period – Contribute to a 24/7 call out rota to cover operational requirements and business needs.

Support the O&M TEAM with the development and execution of the annual OFTO maintenance plan
