Operations Shift Supervisor

Our is a major player in the petrochemical industry and are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join their team in the lower mainland area. Reporting to the Manager of Refinery Shift Operations, this individual will take charge of the supervision of a shift operating crew. They will champion safety and reliability for shift operations and demonstrate exceptional leadership.

Job Duties:
- Responsibility in the completion of crew activity, equipment handling, turnover
information in a safe and reliable manner
- Have a clear understanding of documentation, such as environmental permits to
ensure compliance and report/ regulate non-compliance issues
- Produce and implement performance reviews for shift team members on an
annual basis, while providing mentorship, development and coaching to direct
reports
- Write crew shift schedules and planning, implement schedules, and follow
accordingly
- Act as a point of guidance for the resolution of operating problems and critical
problems

Qualifications:
- 3rd or 4th class Power Engineering Certificate or Engineering degree
- Experience in operating plants is essential; refinery experience is not required but
an asset
- Leadership experience, ability to mentor, coach and provide guidance
- Demonstrated and proven commitment to safety, incident, and injury free
operations
