In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will support the project by demonstrating personal accountability, effective communication, and engagement. Some duties include assisitin in the development and maintenance of the project compliance management systems, assigning tasks and verification controls to address each permit condition or requirement in the project compliance management system, and developing and preparing applications for permits, amendments and renewals.
Job duties:
- Obtain information data and seek alignment with engineering disciplines, construction, subcontractors, and consultants to support the preperations of permit applications
- Prepare and update packages to compile application, clarification, and approval information for permits, and coordinate transmittal to Client and subcontractors
- Coordinate responses to any comments or requests for supplemental information from governmental authorities on permit applications
- Support engagement with governmental authorities, stakeholders, and adjacent landowners whilst adhering to external relations requirements
- Review Construction Execution Plans and Environmental Work Plans to ensure regulatory compliance
- Perform periodic audits and inspections on site to ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- 4 year degree in applicable field of study
- 4 years of work-related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences including, but not limited to management, coworkers, clients, subcontractors, governmental authorities, and stakeholders
- Work related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of acts, regulations and permitting requirements that are applicable in local municipalities
- May need to travel to attend to project related matters
