DISCIPLINE: PIPING
LOCATION: AFUNGI SITE, MOZAMBIQUE
ROTATION: RESIDENT IN ASIA 90/21; RESIDENT IN WESTERN EUROPE 75/21
WORK SCHED: 10 HOURS A DAY 6 DAYS A WEEK
DURATION: CONTRACT (12 MONTHS RENEWABLE)
SALARY: MARKET RELATED

"TRS is looking for an experienced Pipe Support Engineer with strong piping and layout experience within the Oil & Gas Industry to join our well established international Client on the Mozambique LNG Project based at Afungi Site, Mozambique."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Ensures the Piping & Layout engineering support to different projects.
• Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
• Analyzes the technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) in order to assess the scope of the studies required and the potential risks.
• Seeks as far as possible solutions which can bring overall savings to the project.
• Estimates quantities or validates estimation done by other specialist of the team.
• Checks all produced documents (internal or subcontracted) like design reports, technical specifications, drawings etc. under his responsibility.
• Writes the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelines (the technical roadmap for the discipline engineering activities).
• In the case of project execution, ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
• Analyze the project technical documents in order to validate consistency between the budget, resources and means allocated for the work completion and the targets to be met.
• Organizes the work of the team under his responsibility.
• Defines and follows-up the planning of resources mobilization.
• Monitors and reports actual progress including 3D / check for Discipline activities, including control of men-hours and delivered documents; particular care is required for sub-contracted activities.
• Writes the Piping and Layout methodologies / Design Premises comprehensive of all necessary data, general and specific design guidelines (the technical roadmap for the discipline engineering activities).
• Controls the input data for the team activities and check/review all the documents issued by the team
• Attends to internal review activities and inter-discipline check meetings.
• Provides technical support to Project group.
• Provides technical support to Procurement, Subcontracting and Construction activities included in the scope of work.
• Supervises the writing of specifications and requisitions as well as technical bid evaluations.
• Informs on a permanent basis the Project Piping and Layout leader of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk.
• Feeds the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Degree Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years proven recent work related experience within the Oil & Gas Industry.
• FEED experience.
• Knowledgeable codes & standards.
• Significant experience in pipe support, pipe support design, piping stress analyses and structural design.
• Knowledge in 2D Micro Station and PDMS Review
• Experience with technical procurement/PRE would be an advantage
• Good working knowledge of ASME B31.3., ASTM, ASME, and NORSOK standards.
