Job Summary:
- To ensure that all piping works are carried out in accordance with specifications to a high quality standard at minimum cost and within scheduled repair time.
- To ensure an acceptable standard of Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Management System are maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
- Apply and execute the requirements of ISO-9001:2015,14001:2015, 45001:2018, 30000:2009, 28000:2007, 20858:2007, 27001:2013, API Specification Q1 9th edition and ISPS Code and Management System Procedure (MSP). Ensure that Security management System for the Supply Chain & information security management systems are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Holds daily meeting with his Section Heads and Supervisors to check the progress of work, provide technical advice and decide job priorities.
- On a daily basis, attends the Yard Management Operations meeting and provides the updated situations regarding on-going jobs. At this meeting discusses and agrees completion times for the jobs.
- Advises Estimation Department regarding the feasibility of performing certain tasks related to tender from ship owners.
- Discusses with Project Managers/Project Coordinators/Superintendents methods of work and priorities.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
- Eight (8) years’ experience in a Ship Repair or shipbuilding Yard’s Piping workshop and On-board Ships.
