Job Description
Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in all aspects of the design.
Proven ability to develop equipment layouts with consideration to all parties to meet requirements for the plant function, construction, mechanical handling, operations and maintenance.
Development, co-ordination and review of a economical and operable piping design in accordance with P&IDs and all company and project guidelines and specifications.
Incorporate pipe supports and interface with Stress for critical lines to ensure mechanical integrity of all lines.
Attend design review meetings, both internal and with the client.
Leadership, supervision and responsibility of piping designers assigned to the area/project.
Coordinate the production of all design deliverables in accordance with the Project schedule.
Provide guidance and mentorship to developing engineers and participate in people development through training and seminars.

Basic Job Requirements
Recognised industry experience in Lead Engineer position.
BSc / BEng is preferred / HNC (or equivalent) is required.
Professional Registration preferred.
Onshore Oil and Gas engineering experience in upstream, downstream, and/or petrochemical sectors. LNG, Offshore, Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing experience is beneficial.
Concept, FEED and EPC contracts including workshare experience with satellite offices.
Develop and build external relations with client representatives, vendors, and subcontractors and interface closely with other discipline functions promoting Client Service Excellence.
Ensure adherence to Industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures and ensure technical correctness of all discipline deliverables to ensure they comply with Client specifications.
Communicate / present complex technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineering personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional registration and membership in technical society
Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
Managing and leading a large project
Project set-up, developing control-level schedules, progress reporting and project close-out
Practical field experience
Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
