Client Overview:
The client is a leading global engineering and technology company specializing in ironmaking and steelmaking solutions. With its roots in the IJmuiden steel plant in the Netherlands, the company has built a strong reputation over decades for delivering high-performance, sustainable technologies in Blast Furnace Ironmaking and Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) Steelmaking. The client combines deep industry expertise with a client-centric approach, offering tailored solutions that prioritize reliability, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary engineering activities and design tools.
- Set up and configure AutoCAD Plant 3D for piping engineering tasks.
- Design piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D and extract isometric drawings.
- Review technical drawings, documents, and manuals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Prepare piping engineering documents such as line lists, pipe specifications, and valve specifications.
- Develop the Basis of Design for piping systems.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and check design activities within the piping discipline.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Coordinate engineering departments and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Work independently under time constraints and adapt to diverse working environments.
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to iron and steel industry projects.
- Familiarity with EPC project engineering and design.
Software Skills:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- AutoCAD
- Navisworks
- BIM 360
- MS Office
Qualifications:
- Basic: Diploma or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent 4-year degree) from a recognized university; 5–10 years of industry experience.
- Preferred: Engineering and design experience in EPC projects.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in piping design and engineering, with expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D for heavy process industry projects.
