Client Overview:
The client is a leading global engineering and technology company specializing in ironmaking and steelmaking solutions. With its roots in the IJmuiden steel plant in the Netherlands, the company has built a strong reputation over decades for delivering high-performance, sustainable technologies in Blast Furnace Ironmaking and Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) Steelmaking. The client combines deep industry expertise with a client-centric approach, offering tailored solutions that prioritize reliability, safety, and environmental responsibility.
JOB Description:
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of multidisciplinary engineering activities and design tools.
- Review and validate technical drawings, documents, and manuals to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
- Prepare piping engineering documents such as line lists, pipe specifications, and valve specifications.
- Develop the Basis of Design for piping systems.
- Review stress analysis reports (e.g., CEASOR-II).
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and check design activities within the piping discipline to deliver accurate and compliant designs.
Proficiency in software such as:
- AutoCAD
- Navisworks
- BIM 360
- MS Office
Preferred skills and Qualifications:
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Coordinate engineering departments and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Work independently under time constraints and adapt to diverse working environments (collaborative, negotiation, or challenging situations). Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to iron and steel industry projects.
- Familiarity with EPC project engineering and design.
- Basic: B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent 4-year degree) from a recognized university; 8–15 years of industry experience.
- Preferred: Engineering and design experience in EPC project
