An opportunity has arisen for a Planner. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement a basic change management system for engineering and construction. The position will be based in Liberia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision, performs complex project controls activities and assists in the preparation of project controls requirements for a project or assignment.
- Prepares the work breakdown and project coding structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract.
- Accumulates and compiles accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update the progress of the project.
- Develops cost control/scheduling procedures, execution plan, and business plan for a project.
- Participates in weekly project cost reviews/schedule meetings.
- Develops and maintains management, project and control level schedules.
- Identifies trends and deviations and recommends corrective courses of action.
- Maintains the established project cost/schedule program and prepares schedule/cost status reports.
- Provides meaningful, accurate historical data.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mining, project management, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in planning within the mining or heavy industrial sector, with a strong focus on engineering and construction projects.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in mining operations.
