Client is looking Planner / Lead Planner  
Project Type: Oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, refinery.
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Requirements/Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in planning for major capital projects, maintenance shutdowns, and turnaround activities within the petrochemical, oil & gas, or refining industries.
  • Proven experience as a Lead Planner/Project Planner on Turnaround (TA), Brownfield, revamp, and debottlenecking projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and schedule risk assessment methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in developing and managing integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC/EPFC), Brownfield, and Turnaround schedules.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working on projects in the Middle East is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, plant shutdown planning, resource loading, and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively interface with clients, contractors, project management teams, and site personnel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project and turnaround schedules using Primavera P6 for petrochemical, refinery, and brownfield projects.
  • Establish and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project coding structures, and progress measurement systems to ensure effective project control.
  • Prepare fully integrated engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnaround schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure realistic planning and execution strategies.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and develop mitigation and recovery plans to minimize project delays.
  • Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance against baseline plans, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Lead planning and scheduling activities during turnaround preparation and execution phases, including shutdown sequencing, resource planning, and outage optimization.
  • Support brownfield project execution by identifying interface constraints, tie-in requirements, shutdown windows, and operational impacts.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, KPI dashboards, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates for project management and clients.
  • Present schedule status, risks, delays, and recovery strategies to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with project planning standards, procedures, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
