Job Title: Plant Safety Specialist
Location: San Antonio, TX
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried
Salary: $65,000-$75,000
Local candidates only. There is no relocation assistance currently.
Industry: Precast Concrete Manufacturing

Duties Include:
• Safety lead for the precast/prestressed concrete production facility
• Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Involved in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes environmental, health and safety recommendations accordingly.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating environmental policy and procedure manuals.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
• Serves as contact with all federal, state, and local regulatory bodies.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university in safety, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Some experience and workplace training may serve in lieu of a degree.
