Location: UK – remote (25% travel)
Contract duration: 01/09/2025 – 31/01/2026
Qualifications
Engineering Degree or equivalent in the field of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related areas
Your key tasks and responsibilities:
Assess port infrastructure and its suitability for RWE’s offshore wind projects.
Identify and sense check needs for port upgrading works such as quay reinforcement works, seabed strengthening for jack-up vessel and enhancement of ground bearing capacities.
Define, develop and review port logistics concepts and contracts.
Review technical as well as contractual documents related to the tendering and selection process of marshalling ports.
Support preparations of Port Design / Upgrade Scope of works
Essential skills:
Professional experience in the field of civil/structural engineering, including:
Structural analysis of quays for different load combinations including checks of bending moments, anchor forces, deformations
Bearing capacity calculations
Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards
Interest in project management and its interface to engineering
Ability to balance technical and commercial interests and a sound understanding of business concepts
Use of AutoCAD or equivalent software
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Intercultural communication and negotiation skills
Strong team player, self-starting and highly motivated
Fluent spoken and written English
