Client is looking for Process Control and Instrumentation Engineer
Industry: Mining
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Requirements/Qualification:
- 8–10 years in process control and instrumentation, with mining or heavy industry exposure.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Control Systems, or Automation Engineering.
- Key Skills: Control system architecture, cybersecurity, vendor management.
- Mining study experience including defining automation and controls strategies, control system architecture (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and communications protocols and setting design criteria; scoping, evaluating and managing service provider, vendor and contractor packages; evaluating instrumentation and controls technologies for harsh mining environments; scoping and overseeing the development of P&IDS, I/O lists and control narratives, critical loops and safety instrumented systems; have a working knowledge of Hazard and related studies; have a working knowledge of site IT systems and cybersecurity risk mitigation for control systems.
- Develops automation and control strategies for mining operations, including system architecture (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and communication protocols. Oversees instrumentation selection and safety systems.
