TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Site Contracts Administrator role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Specific expectations and knowledge:
- Perform thermodynamic modeling for electrolyte and solid‑state systems.
- Review and interpret relevant scientific literature and published data.
- Fit experimental data to support and refine simulation models.
- Collaborate with simulation software vendors when needed to verify model results.
- Bring prior hands‑on experience with tools such as OLI Flowsheet ESP, Aspen Plus, METSIM, or similar process simulation software.
Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles and advanced technical practices across assigned tasks.
- Support team members in solving engineering issues and developing methods.
- Help plan, coordinate, and prioritize work; may supervise or train junior staff.
- Stay aware of company strategy and industry trends.
- Review the Project Execution Plan and align process activities with other disciplines.
- Understand schedule logic, staffing plans, and effort‑hour budgets.
- Assist in developing process design criteria and data while incorporating cost‑effective solutions.
- Review schedules and contribute to work plans that meet project milestones.
- Perform process studies and create H&MBs for complex systems.
- Complete and check engineering calculations; develop P&IDs.
- Assess upset conditions and help define process design limits.
- Provide independent technical recommendations aligned with project goals.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and organize personal workload.
- Follow all company procedures, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
- May travel for business needs and must maintain reliable attendance.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, plus ten or more years of relevant professional experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in at least one Canadian province or a U.S. state.
- Strong communicator capable of engaging with management, colleagues, clients, contractors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Able to understand and apply local, provincial/state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
