Procurement Agent

Our client, a major player in the chemical and petrochemical industry, is seeking a Procurement Agent, with a specialty in Finance in their Calgary, AB or Montreal, QC locations. In this exciting role, the qualified candidate will be responsible for maintaining client relationships and executing purchase orders within a face-paced environment. The Procurement Agent will also be responsible for administering commercial support and guidance to end-users in numerous business units.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and gather thorough research for various sources
- Ensure intricated materials and services are purchased to schedule
- Plan, design and develop procurement strategies in collaboration with third parties under different budgets
- Be responsible for administering Requests for Proposal (RFP), and propose suggestions and recommendations based on results from a commercial analysis that are aligned with the business unit
- Takes part in developing strategies that elevate and support future business plans
- Inspect the financial and technical capabilities to determine and analyze the qualifications of suppliers to ensure optimal company fit

Key Qualifications:
- A university degree or have past obtained a minimum of 5 year's experience within the following areas: purchasing, logistics, contracts formation, industrial, manufacturing, etc.
- Experience with commercial transactions in procurement
- Knowledge of both Federal and Provincial regulations related to Procurement
- Has experience in quality assurance auditing, and service level agreements
