We currently seek a Sr. Construction Planner to work on a contract basis for the duration of the project (approx. 12 months). Based in Sluiskil, you will be working for a large company in the engineering, procurement & construction in the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.
Our client is executing various projects for their (end) client and in principle for all these project our client will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management. In the beginning only one project will be in the construction (and commissioning) phase, however it is the expectation that more projects will follow.
Therefore, in the beginning, the Construction Scheduling role will only be required for approx.. 24 hours/week. Depending on the other skills of the candidate, additional roles can be fulfilled, e.g, Cost Control, Document Control, etc. Later the role will most likely grow to a full time position in Construction Scheduling.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop Work Breakdown structures for control and integrity of work;
- Develop totally integrated Construction Schedules;
- Status, progress measurement of these Construction Schedules via good communication with all stakeholders, i.e., Client, Construction Management team, Engineering Contractor, Construction Contractors, Vendor representatives, authorities, etc;
- Analyze variances in schedule performance against the plan and timely inform the Construction Manager of potential problems related to schedule and make recommendations for the path forward;
Requirements:
- Experience in Construction and Commissioning Scheduling in the process industries (oil, gas, chemicals);
- In-depth knowledge of industrial installations as chemical plants, facilities and utility systems;
- Experience in Primavera P6;
- Candidates shall be fluent in English and preferably fluent in Dutch;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Problem solving attitude, self-motivator;
