Project Buyer

We are currently looking for a Project Buyer to start begin ASAP on a project in Rotterdam. Foreseen duration is 6-18 months.

Key areas of responsibility
- Contribute to formulate the Procurement policy for the respective package.
- Stimulating the implementation of new Procurement tools and techniques within the project.
- Pro-actively use the Procurement network to achieve maximum performance (leverage).
- Responsible for supplier selection and supplier integration.
- Contribute to getting insight in international supplier markets leading to lowest possible integral
costs; including supplier evaluation, -selection and -rating.
- Contribute to sourcing strategies.
- Independently operating in negotiating; responsible for quality, delivery and costs.
- Manage supplier relation, -audits and -problem solving and improvement actions.
- Professional support to assistant buyers support group

Experience
- Relevant experience as buyer in the (petro) chemical industry.
- Knowledge of Supply base, relevant commodities and markets.
- Able to understand the business requirements for the assigned commodities and co-ordinate
leverage opportunities
- Dutch & English language skills are both a must.

Requirements
- Level and kind of education: Bachelor or comparable, preferable in a technical discipline
- Specific knowledge about: Legal aspects, informatics, sales markets, international trade -
Administrative, economical and financial.
- Basic technical knowledge
- Computer literacy Skills
- Good communication skills: stimulate dialogue, build consensus, and establish a teamwork
environment.
