Project Director - Transportation

TRS is currently searching for a Project Director for our client, a global leader in large scale civil construction projects. This is a permanent full-time position and it is based out of Toronto.

Key Details:
•Provide leadership, strategic direction while supervising the preparation of the overall project plan & execution strategies for management review and approval.
•Provide leadership of the project through project management and execution, project engineering, discipline engineering and construction working closely with and providing direction to project and area managers. 
•Set-up the organization, mobilize the team and develop a schedule with respect to planning, procurement and the execution strategy in line with the Contract provisions.
•Responsible for overseeing the set-up of specific plans for promoting HSE, quality and cost control.
•Ensure the relevant budget and delivery plan and provide regular project progress, reports and forecast.
•You are a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
•You have a minimum of 10-15 years of management experience with significant experience in AFP (P3) method, heavy civil construction projects.
•20+ years of project management experience in the Transit, Transportation or Infrastructure sectors.
•10+ years in the role of a Project Director on major projects.
•Experience on mega projects of multibillion dollar value.
•High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.
•Our client works a lot in the area of P3 and JV projects so experience with these is very beneficial.
