Project Information Manager

Summary
  • This position provides leadership in the organization or functional area and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish the direction of a department, function, or project.
  • The position requires the application of knowledge gained from experience and expertise to the job duties and responsibilities. The position will make decisions in areas that may impact the organization and its employees, clients, budgets, policies, procedures, work practices, or compliance programs.
Scope
  • The Senior Project Information Manager (PIM) acts as the Project Manager of automation technology for the project, managing the information technology, automation, and information/data management requirements for the project team.
  • The PIM is charged with maximizing the efficiency of the project team and achieving the project goals through the best application of automation technology tools and methods. Working with the department manager, this role may coordinate and manage automation.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all automation-related activities.
  • Promote and ensure effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of client’s knowledge management portals.
  • Work with the stake holders, project management and ITPS leadership to analyze and develop the work process, and identify the desired electronic interaction among the client, partners, contractors, suppliers.
  • Apply effective knowledge sharing behaviors in the use of client’s knowledge management portals and communities.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with respect to automation at site including WAN, LAN, PC’s, and site support.
  • Coordinate design kickoff activities and provide overall coordination for users.
  • Work with the project management team in identifying the key requirements for the client, contractor, partner, and as related to the project, including identification of specific technology and tools requested by the client to be used in project execution and those tools required by the Fluor project execution team.
  • Specialize in facilitating business process management sessions and workshops.
  • Specialize in data analyst skills and/or data quality management.
  • Specialize in business process modeling and management.
  • Conduct surveillance of industry, client, and competitor intelligence
  • Coordinate the automation scope, services, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate design automation kickoff activities and provide overall cross-discipline automation.
  • coordination and identify and coordinate the automation project turnover and close-out activities.
  • Provide applicable information obtained from other projects regarding the successful implementation of new technology;work with the project team to optimize the use of computer-integrated engineering tools during project execution.
  • Establish the Project Data Management Plan including, Web sites, data repositories, file server directory structures, access rights, security requirements, backup requirements, database replication, database interfaces, mass storage requirements, and connectivity requirements.
  • Project execution (work-sharing activities) and Electronic Data Interchange.
  • Ensure that the Project Computer Aided Design (CAD) Execution Plan, including standard project procedures, is completed.
  • Develop the Project Information Management scope of work, deliverables, and schedule for implementation in cooperation with the project management, client, and contractor teams.
  • Identify the level of electronic communication (connectivity) and support functions to be provided at the construction site and make recommendations to project management.
Requirements:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Basic LAN, WAN Knowledge, M365 Apps.
  • Specialize in facilitating business process management sessions and workshop and in data analyst skills and/or data quality management.
  • Business process modeling and management.
  • Conduct training courses for specialties or Project Information Management (PIM) procedures and solutions, Support Excel to Win (ETW) Strategies, and Support Business Transformation & Innovation (BT&I) initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or two (2) year diploma, or global equivalent, in Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Six (6) years of experience in project management or information management lead position
  • Two (2) years of experience in Project Information Management/Information Technology/Automation
