Are you ready to take the next step in your career and apply your expertise in a dynamic project environment? Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Lead. The organization supports complex industrial and infrastructure projects, providing technical, project, and operational services throughout the asset lifecycle.
This position is based in the Northern Cape and offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to high-impact initiatives within the mining and resources industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project plans for the Waste Value stream.
- Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and operations teams to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans as needed.
- Lead cross-functional teams including technical, environmental, and community engagement personnel.
- Assign tasks, manage workloads, and foster collaboration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and Vedanta Zinc International (VZI).
- Identify risks related to waste processing and ESG compliance.
- Implement mitigation strategies and ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage allocated budget and resources efficiently.
- Track expenditures and ensure alignment with financial targets.
- Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and closure documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or Project Management.
- 5+ years of experience in mining or industrial project leadership.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and waste valorization.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
