Project Lead

The organization supports complex industrial and infrastructure projects, providing technical, project, and operational services throughout the asset lifecycle.
This position is based in the Northern Cape and offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to high-impact initiatives within the mining and resources industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed project plans for the Waste Value stream.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and operations teams to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor progress against milestones and adjust plans as needed.
• Lead cross-functional teams including technical, environmental, and community engagement personnel.
• Assign tasks, manage workloads, and foster collaboration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and Vedanta Zinc International (VZI).
• Identify risks related to waste processing and ESG compliance.
• Implement mitigation strategies and ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage allocated budget and resources efficiently.
• Track expenditures and ensure alignment with financial targets.
• Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and closure documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities and decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or Project Management.
• 5+ years of experience in mining or industrial project leadership.
• Strong understanding of ESG principles and waste valorization.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
