â€¢ Degree qualified Engineer or time served apprentice in a Mechanical/ Energy Engineering/ with a Fabrication background.
â€¢ Experience in steel manufacture, welding and coating

â€¢ Worked within the Offshore Fabrication Industry as a Quality Engineer (other industries with transferrable skills may be considered).
â€¢ Comprehensive understanding of Offshore Substation Fabricators and their manufacturing/galvanizing supply chain, with marketplace intelligence on performance.
â€¢ Understanding of Major Electrical Contractors and their Supply Chain
â€¢ Able to demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements and risks in onshore and offshore environment and the associated standards.
â€¢ Understanding of European Directives and their applicability to Substations on and offshore.
â€¢ Experienced in dealing with contractors/sub-contractors and supply chain monitoring for compliance.
â€¢ Fluent written & verbal English.
â€¢ Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and implementation of tailored Quality Surveillance Programs.
â€¢ IT literate in Microsoft, word, excel, power point and outlook.
JOB DESCRIPTION â€“ Scope of work
â€¢ Reviewing and assess quality documentation from the supply chain
â€¢ Planning, coordination and execution of Quality Control activities for a project package
â€¢ Managing of Quality Inspectors
â€¢ Management of QC resource capability with QM
â€¢ Oversee and manage the quality of work delivered by the supply chain under package contracts
â€¢ Evaluation of reports, inspection results and findings
â€¢ Logging and resolution of open points
â€¢ Initiation and management NCRâ€™s and corrective and preventive actions
â€¢ Maintenance of an auditable trail of quality activities and associated records
â€¢ Recommendations where appropriate of the resolution of a NCR with a Concession and management of acceptance/rejection
â€¢ Support to the Package Manager in finding solutions for quality issues
â€¢ Support the Contract Manager in any claims process
â€¢ Collate the as-built, installation and supporting Quality records necessary for Commercial Operations
