Our client is one of Canada's largest rail maintenance and construction firms, that offers comprehensive and robust benefits program, and competitive salary! In this role, you will be responsible for responsible for developing HR strategies and executing human resource plans. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of experience as a HR manager. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Responsibilities
• Deliver talent solutions that are in alignment with annual business goals and objectives.
• Leads and/or directly supports in visioning, change management, communication, and execution of all organizational changes.
• Provides strong leadership to team of direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develops staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization
• Develops human resource planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develops specific programs to fill the identified gaps.
• Develops appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization
• Enhances and/or develops, implements and enforces HR policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
• Champions Company safety culture mission and vision
Key Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational development, or other relevant discipline is required.
• Possesses minimum of 4-5 years of experience in HR management role with direct reports
• Previous experience in construction industry preferred.
• Experience in unionized environment is required.
• CHRP Designation is an asset
• Demonstrated experience with building high performance teams
• Knowledgeable about current HR technology
