Overview
Job type: permanent full-time role
Industry: Energy Management Systems, Battery Energy Storage, Electric Vehicle charging, Distributed Energy Resources
Hybrid: 3 days per week working from home or site, with 2 days per week in the London office.
Renumeration: Competitive salary plus membership in company’s bonus schemes. Company vehicle provided.
Role
Reporting to the Commissioning and Service Manager, the Commissioning and Service Engineer will be responsible for commissioning and ongoing service operations of our battery and energy management systems, ensuring they meet or exceed performance standards and customer expectations. The successful candidate will join the team to commission projects and provide post-delivery technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning Skills:
Develop and maintain safe systems of work in support commissioning activity.
Adhere to commissioning plans, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.
Conduct thorough testing, troubleshooting, and system optimization during the commissioning phase.
Ensure commissioning documentation is finalised for handover to customers.
Coordinate with engineering and project managers to facilitate a seamless transition to customer handover.
Post Delivery Support:
Maintain ticketing system for capturing, managing and tracking customer service requests.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules and protocols to minimize downtime and maximize system efficiency through FRACAS.
Execute maintenance in accordance with SLA.
Lead a team of service technicians, providing training and support for continuous improvement.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain quality control processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality renewable energy solutions.
Monitor and analyse system performance data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in commissioning and servicing renewable energy projects, with a focus on battery storage, solar and wind.
Strong customer focus.
Excellent team player with good communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of renewable energy systems, components, and industry best practices. (preferred)
Familiarity with electrical regulations, best practices, and standard components.
Familiarity with IT and communication network systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to travel and work independently, collaborating with remote colleagues.
Good MS Office skills, and ability to learn new software tools.
Full UK driving license.
