An opportunity has become available for an SAP Material Mater Data Administrator responsible for the end-to-end operation of master data lifecycle including creation, update, and archival/deletion of the master data, by following the standards and quality requirements of the domain. Also, provides support on master data management processes. The role is located in the Johannesburg, South Africa.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the master data is maintained efficiently and accurately in all systems, within their scope of responsibility.
- Understands the impact of the master data maintained and accordingly provides guidance to others on the related matters.
- Documents, reviews, and updates the work procedures pertaining to all aspects of system maintenance.
- Acts as a master data super user, when needed and provides support and training to other Master Data Specialists and master data professionals in their own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
- Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for the client.
- Leads their development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensure alignment.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Diploma in: Supply Chain Management/ Information Systems.
- SAP MM Certification (S/4HANA or ECC).
- Material Master creation and maintenance.
- SAP MM (Materials Management).
- Proficiency in:
- MM01/MM02/MM03 (material master).
- XK01/XK02/XK03 (vendor master).
- ME11/ME12 (purchasing info records).
Knowledge and Understanding:
- Purchasing views.
- MRP, forecasting, lot-sizing.
- Storage and warehouse data.
- Accounting and costing views.
- Vendor Master data maintenance.
- Info Records & Source Lists.
- Material classifications, units of measure, batch management.
- Understanding of data dependencies and cross-functional impact.
