Senior Civil Construction Engineer
Turek, Poland
For one of our international clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Senior Civil Construction Engineer with a solid background in thermal power generation projects to join a major energy infrastructure development in Poland.
About the Role
As a Senior Civil Construction Engineer, you will be involved in the delivery of a large-scale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant project. The position focuses on overseeing civil construction activities, coordinating site execution, and ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities throughout all project phases.
- Provide technical support for earthworks, concrete structures, foundations, underground utilities, and buildings.
- Ensure construction works are executed according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with project schedules and site requirements.
- Support construction planning and progress tracking to achieve key project milestones.
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical solutions in cooperation with engineering and project teams.
- Coordinate civil interfaces with mechanical, electrical, and commissioning disciplines.
- Promote and maintain a strong HSE culture across all site activities.
- Participate in construction meetings and prepare progress updates and technical reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction within industrial, energy, heavy industry, or infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience on thermal power plant, CCGT, CHP, power generation, or other large-scale EPC projects is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of concrete works, structural construction, foundations, and site execution activities.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures, construction sequencing, and project planning principles.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements in a construction environment.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- English language proficiency allowing effective communication within an international project environment.
