Job Description:
• Identify Hazards and assess risk involved in the process and associated activities by using suitable quantitative and qualitative techniques
• Ensure mitigation measures in healthy condition for controlling fire or chemical emergency.
• Fire Safety Awareness Trainings
• Inspections, Audits, Investigations
• Statutory compliance check & validation
• Ensure Emergency preparedness & control
• Manpower Management
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, plan and erect adequate emergency control systems for probable risks.
• Carry out Fire Safety Inspections, survey & audits, certification from competent person.
• Procurement/ issue and inspect Fire safety gadgets,
• Maintain emergency vehicles and crew in fit and updated.
• Fire Safety Training to all newcomers and refreshers
• Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment using suitable techniques.
• Legal requirement assessment and compliance
• Fire Safety Motivation, Awareness and caution board design and display
• Incident investigation and reporting
• Emergency preparedness and control by carrying out routine Mock drills with coordination of Safety, Plants, MARG and Local Self Govt
• Participation in Plant Safety committee meetings
Qualifications and experience:
• BSc in Chemistry/ B Tech with Advanced Diploma in Ind Safety
• 6-8 years working experience in Industrial Chemicals, Explosives & Fertilizer sector. Experience of Ind Safety, Emergency control.
Technical/ Functional Expertise:
• Knowledge of Process and Plant Engineering
• Knowledge of EMS, QMS & OHSAS
• Knowledge of Safety Assessment techniques and incident control
• Knowledge Safety related Acts and rules
