We are currently seeking a hands-on Metallurgist for a developing mining company in Sutter Creek, CA area.

Job Duties:
The roll requires working in an autonomous position to lead the processing team and ensure the operational guidance and technical support is given on metallurgical performance and improvement initiatives including:

• Monitoring process plant performance and liaising with areas of the site operation about technical consequences and forecasts.
• Maintain the work group’s focus on safety and environmental considerations.
• Mentoring, coach and train for operators and technicians.
• Implementing improvement initiatives and driving metallurgical performance opportunities.
• Set metallurgical, sampling and laboratory standards, as well as processing set points.
• Providing statistical data, i.e. trend analysis, daily analysis, periodical reporting, metallurgical accounting.
• Contributing to recommendations on strategic and continuous process improvement plans.

Requirements / Must haves:
• Degree qualified in Metallurgy or chemical engineering with significant demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of mineral processing in grinding, gravity gold recovery and flotation.
• You will be an advocate for process improvement, accuracy and ensuring proper safety procedures.
• Be self-motivated, able to improvise and problem solve to get results.
