Ready to embrace a global opportunity? Our client is in search of a highly experienced Senior Offshore Construction Manager to become part of their team in Abu Dhabi. This influential position will focus on directing, coordinating, and supervising offshore construction operations during the project’s execution phase, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to all standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide input to Offshore management for offshore scope at Bid stage, which will include review of schedule and estimated durations, inputs to explanations and qualifications.
- Review, comment and issue the ITB to sub-contract department for the scope of work related to offshore.
- Attend the strategy meetings initiated by estimation section during the bid stage.
- Finalize the list of project deliverables prepared by OCE’s for the offshore scope, in coordination with LME, OOD, PEM & include in the project deliverable list.
- Produce offshore schedule taking into consideration project milestones and availability of barges / marine units, in coordination with PD / VPOO / AVP- OCS / OCD / OOD.
- Prepare list of construction aids (load register) required for the job. Finalize the relevant AFC drawings with PEM after receiving comments from various departments.
- Initiate all the correspondences (letters / faxes) with the client related to offshore scope or work.
- Attend weekly meetings with AVP-OCS / OCD / VPOO to discuss progress and areas of concern.
- Review subcontractor’s invoices, provide all clarification as may be required by finance department for processing the invoices, and certify these invoices prior to its approval by PD.
- Attend the meeting conducted by OOD on the barge for all key personnel to highlight the scope of work, sequence of activities and to enforce compliance with the project HSE-MS.
- Supervise OCM’s/OCE’s to ensure that pre-installation / load-out of required items for offshore execution (like rigging platforms, lifting slings etc.) are carried out on time.
- Coordinate with client on inspection of marine spread and mobilization of their representatives.
- Supervise the OCE’s for mobilization / demobilization of subcontractor.
- Monitor offshore work progress on daily basis, attend offshore operation daily meeting during offshore execution and coordinate closely with Client / OOD / OPE / OCE / Barge Superintendent and Field Engineers at all times during offshore execution.
- Prepare Management of change register for the expected changes and regularly update reporting to the OCD/AVP-OCS and VPOO.
- Conduct smooth interface on regular basis with Project Management & procurement management to make sure that offshore material & vendor mobilization are in line with the offshore schedule to avoid spread standby, deficiencies shall be reported to the project director copying to Offshore & procurement Management.
- Prepare a project closeout report after completion of project and include the lessons learned and recommendation for future works.
- Appraise Offshore Construction Engineer, Senior Offshore Construction and Lead Construction Engineer.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Naval.
- 12 years’ experience with proven offshore operations experience.
- Core offshore installations project management experience.
- Subsea and Offshore Structural Installation Management experience.
- Experience in Offshore installation, and marine operations.
- Experience in Subsea Structure & Jacket, Topsides, cable laying & Pipelines Installation.
- Superior knowledge of offshore operations, personnel & equipment.
