About the role

TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Senior Package Lead (Senior Project Engineer) to join our esteemed clients team based in Perth. This position is based on a Monday to Friday full-time roster for a 6-month duration. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a specific project package from design through to commissioning and handover

• Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget

• Oversee technical scopes, specifications, and tender documentation

• Monitor progress, costs, risks, and report accurately to the Project Delivery Manager

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and interfaces with live port operations

• Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

• Support commissioning and smooth integration of new assets into operations

Skills and experience required

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• 10+ years’ experience in project or construction management within heavy industry

• Strong contractor, package, and interface management experience

• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project reporting

• Solid understanding of engineering standards, safety, and compliance requirements

• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
