We are seeking an accomplished Senior Process Engineer to take a lead technical role on complex mineral processing projects within an EPCM consulting environment. This position offers the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor engineers, and operate at the forefront of process technology as part of a collaborative, high‑performance engineering team.

Job Summary:
- The Senior Process Engineer provides technical leadership across feasibility, study, detailed design, and execution phases of EPC/EPCM projects. Accountable for process design integrity, client interface, and coordination across multidisciplinary engineering teams, with a strong focus on gold or copper processing projects. Experience in PGMs, chrome, or base metals will be viewed as an advantage.
- Lead and coordinate a team of process engineers delivering study, feasibility, and detailed design packages.
- Execute assigned scopes of work in line with contractual, technical, and schedule requirements.
- Develop fit-for-purpose, cost-effective process solutions through studies and design optimization.
- Interface extensively with client stakeholders including project, operations, maintenance, and technical teams.
- Translate metallurgical test work into robust process design criteria and documentation.
- Prepare, review, and approve core process deliverables, including:
- Process Design Criteria (PDC).
- Process descriptions and design basis.
- Mass balances.
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Equipment specifications and equipment lists.
- Line, valve, and instrument schedules.
- Control philosophies and functional specifications.
- Participate in plot plan reviews, HAZOPs, operability studies, and SIL assessments.
- Support equipment procurement through bid evaluations and technical review of vendor data.
- Provide technical judgment and independent recommendations on complex design challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- 15+ years’ experience in the design of concentrators and mineral processing plants.
- Demonstrated experience in gold or copper processing (essential).
- Proven ability to work in EPCM project environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Sound technical judgment and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commissioning and/or operational plant experience in addition to design.
- Professional Engineer registration with ECSA (or eligibility to obtain).
