Freelance Commissioning Manager (Electrical) – Dual Project Role

Our client, a world-leading developer of renewable energy and power projects are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager with an electrical background to lead commissioning activities across two high-profile projects.

This will be a short-term contract position beginning in early 2026.
 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the cold and hot commissioning phases, working closely with service and component providers for key systems, including the BESS container, PE Inverter, MV transformer and overall electrical installation.
• Liaise with service and component providers to ensure smooth commissioning and compliance with technical standards.
• Oversee interface management in a complex stadium environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure all commissioning documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Review and sign off Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), cable test protocols, and other commissioning documentation.

Profile:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience in site and commissioning management for electrical systems.
• Familiarity with BESS, MV transformers, inverters, and PV integration is desirable
• Ability to work flexibly across two projects and manage interfaces effectively.
• Willingness to travel between Dortmund and Lingen.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
• Professional understanding of German & English.
