Key Responsibilities:
  • Support commercial, contracting, and procurement activities across study, execution, and delivery phases
  • Execute project commercial requirements in line with structured governance and stage‑gate processes
  • Assist with development and implementation of contracting and procurement strategies for underground and infrastructure scopes
  • Support pre‑award activities, including contracting plans, market engagement, bid evaluations, negotiations, and awards
  • Provide post‑award contract administration, including:
    • Contractor mobilization
    • Performance monitoring
    • Contract amendments and change management
    • Claims support and issue resolution
    • Contract close‑out activities
  • Maintain effective working relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Monitor commercial performance, risks, and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Prepare and maintain accurate commercial documentation and correspondence to support site execution

Qualifications & Experience
  • Post‑secondary education in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in contracts, procurement, sourcing, or commercial management
  • Background in mining, major capital projects, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong experience with:
    • Contract formation, negotiation, and administration
    • Change management and contract amendments
    • Claims support and contract close‑out
  • Experience supporting complex project scopes
  • Exposure to underground mining, underground infrastructure, or material handling systems is considered an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office and contract management systems such as SAP, Ariba, Aconex, or similar

Key Skills & Attributes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Comfortable working within structured processes and governance frameworks
  • Adaptable, organized, and execution‑focused
