We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Site Energy Manager to lead energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across our client's remote facility operations. This role is critical in supporting our client’s commitment to optimizing energy use, reducing emissions, and enhancing operational efficiency at their remote sites.
Employment Status: Staff or Permanent Hire
Work Location: Working at remote project sites in BC
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion strategic energy management by aligning energy initiatives with business objectives to drive long-term value and sustainability.
- Identify, plan, and implement energy-saving projects that support operational efficiency and emissions reduction goals.
- Promote a culture of energy awareness by engaging employees at all levels through training, reporting, and workplace initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze energy performance data to evaluate project outcomes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate energy efficiency into operational planning, capital projects, and site-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering, EIT or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in energy management, preferably in industrial or remote site environments.
- Technical knowledge of the mining, infrastructure, or energy sectors would be an asset.
- Strong understanding of mining operations, camp infrastructure, and heavy industrial systems (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, pumping systems).
- Familiarity with Canadian energy regulations, carbon pricing, and incentive programs.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in energy modeling tools and data analysis platforms.
- Exceptional people skills and a collaborative mindset are critical requirements.
