About the role

TRS Staffing is currently searching for an SMP Supervisor to join our team based in the Pilbara. This position is based on a 2/1 FIFO roster from Perth for a 2 yrs duration.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and enforce safety standards; conduct pre-starts and toolbox talks.

• Supervise SMP works including structural steel, mechanical equipment, and piping installation.

• Monitor progress against schedule and report delays or issues.

• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Coordinate and manage SMP crews and subcontractors on-site.

• Liaise with engineering, procurement, and logistics for materials and equipment.

Skills and experience required

• Craft certification, training, and experience appropriate for assignment scope; directly related experience equal to twelve (12) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
