Sr. Project Controls Tech -Cost

Project Controls Technician
We currently seek a high caliber Project Controls Technician for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Los Angeles, CA (zip code 90045)

Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Move costs for that were miscoded in project accounting system
• Open new cost codes and maintain various databases with cost codes
• Run transaction detail reports upon request
• Run a variety of project reports from accounting/reporting software on a monthly basis
• Review shopping carts with proposed purchases to verify cost coding and budget
• Organize and maintain supporting documentation for changes to the monthly forecast (change reports)
• Run weekly labor unit cost reports using Heavy Job and MS Access databases
• Support project staff in maintaining Change Management database
• Support project staff in organizing monthly forecast meetings with different discipline managers
Required Skillsets/Experience
• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Interest in learning new things
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change
• Service-oriented

Preferred Skillsets/Experience
Previous experience in construction a plus but not required
Heavy Job/HCSS a plus
