Structural Project Engineer

Here is an exciting new opportunity as a Structural Project Engineer in a remote position for our client, an innovative and technology-led engineering firm for their location in Alberta. Our client is a major player in the mining, energy, and industrial sectors. In this role, the Structural Engineer will work with like-minded individuals to take part in planning and executing projects through the phases of engineering projects!

Job Duties:
• Organizes and manages phases and work packages to complete engineering for projects.
• Generating and maintaining staffing plans, and developing capital and labor estimates.
• Work with other project engineering professionals, in multidisciplinary project teams, to deliver projects and guarantee multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and project objectives and guidelines.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in the mining industry
• Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering or any related discipline
• Experience with reviewing structural shop drawings and complex structural engineering deliverables
• Experience with software programs including Bluebeam and Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
