Systems Lead

TRS Staffing Solutions has a long-term opportunity for Systems Lead to work for one of the leading Canadian infrastructure construction companies in their urban transportation division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be a part of projects that are transforming transit infrastructure for the Toronto Area.

Responsibilities:

• Finalize SCADA integration with all of ABB’s equipment
• Supervise the work of technicians
• Collect and finalize all applicable documentation required for THESL energization approval
• Address site deficiencies
• Responsible for scheduling, auditing, troubleshooting, site coordination, configuration, tracking, reporting, and SAT testing
• Establish clear pre-requisites from alignment and ensuring delivery of T&C pre-requisites as per schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

• A recognized university degree, or equivalent, in quantity surveying, construction management, finance or engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience in an operations and maintenance environment
• 5 years of active experience in rail transit operations, preferably with experience in automated train protection and control room operations
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience
• Requires strong and demonstrated knowledge of information systems, operations technology and computer technology concepts, principles and practices and their application in a business environment. Experience related to implementation of asset management strategies through CMMS or other similar applications, including, experience in scheduling maintenance through a CMMS system
• Knowledge of end user support functions and data security/audit principles and procedures
• Knowledge of current office automation technology, PC hardware/software and relevant application
• Experience in communication systems and networks, SCADA, intranet development, data encryption and security
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
