Technical Assurance Director

TRS Staffing Solutions has long-term opportunities for Technical Assurance Director to work for one of the leading firms in the infrastructure industry. Our client is based in Toronto, ON, building some of the most impactful infrastructure projects. This is a perfect opportunity for Technical Assurance Directors who want to utilize and grow their expertise in a wide variety of technical areas, such as construction, railway systems, rolling stock and operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Understands clients’ requirements and how they fit into the wider assurance regime.
• Identifies, develops, and executes strategies to meet or better the specified requirements.
• Leads the delivery of assignments of large levels of complexity for various elements of a railway program, from start to finish.
• Ensures that the scope, time, cost and quality requirements are met, and risks and issues are identified and managed.
• Ensures that the client’s expectations are met and exceeded throughout project delivery, including leading others within the team to achieve this goal.
• Coordinates technical assessments with specialist engineering teams and perform technical assessments
• Produces and reviews documentation associated with key project deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Experience in application and compliance to job related standards:
• Canadian method for risk evaluation and assessment for railway systems (CMREA)
• 15+ years of experience in engineering design, production, and/or review of compliance evidence within a regulated industry
• A degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Relevant Professional Designations
• Ability to lead client meetings including presentation, negotiation and agreement of key requirements, related both to technical aspects (supported by specialists as required) and project delivery
• Ability to provide technical and project management leadership and mentoring
