For our client's renewable project on a refinery site in Sweden we are currently searching for an experienced Turnover Manager. Foreseen duration of this project is until end of 2026.

Role Overview:

The Turnover Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful transition of completed construction work from the construction phase to the commissioning and startup phase. They are responsible for managing the turnover process, coordinating inspections, and ensuring that systems and equipment are ready for operational use.

Responsibilities:

  1. Turnover Process Management:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive turnover plan for the entire project.
    • Coordinate with various disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, etc.) to ensure a smooth transition.
    • Monitor progress and address any delays or issues.
  2. Inspection Coordination:

    • Collaborate with quality control and inspection teams to schedule and conduct turnover inspections.
    • Ensure that all documentation, punch lists, and certification requirements are met.
  3. System Verification:

    • Verify that systems, subsystems, and equipment are installed correctly and function as intended.
    • Oversee pre-commissioning activities.
  4. Commissioning Support:

    • Work closely with the commissioning team to facilitate a seamless transition from turnover to commissioning.
    • Assist in system testing and functional checks.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate turnover records, including as-built drawings, equipment manuals, and test results.
    • Generate turnover reports for project stakeholders.
  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during turnover activities.
    • Address any safety concerns promptly.
  7. Client Interaction:

    • Liaise with the client and other project stakeholders during turnover activities.
    • Provide updates on progress and address any client queries.
  8. Training and Handover:

    • Coordinate training sessions for operations and maintenance personnel.
    • Facilitate the handover of systems and equipment to the operations team.
  9. Problem-Solving:

    • Resolve any turnover-related challenges or discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to find solutions.
  10. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement within the turnover phase.
    • Implement best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant experience in construction turnover management, preferably in refinery projects.
  • Familiarity with both brownfield (existing facilities) and greenfield (new construction) projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
