TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Construction Manage/Constructability Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Qualifications:
Construction Expertise
- 20+ years of hands-on experience in underground mining projects.
- Skilled in managing operations in remote locations and challenging climates.
- Strong background in project initiation, constructability assessments, and execution planning.
- Extensive knowledge of site development, including installation of crushing systems and conveyor networks.
- Proven ability to integrate planning and execution strategies for underground construction.
- Experience with ventilation systems, raise boring, and underground material handling solutions.
- Delivered construction of declines, chambers, and underground maintenance facilities.
- Familiar with modular construction approaches, logistics coordination, and quality assurance for mining projects.
Core Competencies
- Leadership & Communication: Effective in guiding multidisciplinary teams and fostering strong contractor partnerships.
- Safety Oversight: Comprehensive understanding of underground safety standards and risk management practices.
- Project Management: Expertise in scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Skilled at resolving operational challenges and driving process improvements.
Home Office Capabilities
- Proficient in preparing execution strategies, technical reports, and correspondence (multilingual ability is an asset).
- Strong presentation skills, including developing and delivering decision-making materials.
- Ability to leverage software tools for technical analysis and trade-off evaluations.
- Experienced in coordinating with construction automation systems.
- Capable of leading constructability programs during planning phases and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
