"Our international client is looking for Three (3) experienced UTILITIES ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGERS – WATER, ELECTRIC, GAS, TELECOM, RAIL with Rail Industry experience to join our client’s team of experienced professionals. This position is based in SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Under the general direction of the Utilities Project Manager and the Utilities – Senior Project Manager coordinates utility work between the Authority, Design Builder, PCM teams, and third-party utilities.
• Develops, builds, and maintains a positive and productive relationship with third-party utilities or railroads.
• Works with Authority, PCM, and the design-builder to establish priorities, monitor progress and ensure compliance with Authority goals and requirements.
• Participate in utility and railroad issue resolution, prepare status reports, develops and maintains project tracking systems for issues and resolutions, and address the utility or railroad needs in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with the Authority, Design Builder, PCM teams, and third-party utilities or railroads, attend meetings, review project documents, report on discovered utility/railroad issues.
• Report on discovered utility/railroad issues and participate in issue resolution.
• Prepare status reports and maintain a tracking log for issues and resolutions.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the Utility/Railroad field.
• Experience reviewing Utility/Railroad designs to ensure compliance with utility/railroad land rights and design standards.
• A degree in engineering, business, or law is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of the California High-Speed Rail Authority Right-of-Way Manual, Caltrans Utility Relocation Manual, Federal Statutes, and California State Statutes.
• Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project, Power BI, scheduling software and SharePoint.
