Job Summary:
  • Perform repairs and installation/replacement works on the vessel HVAC systems safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs and installation/replacement works on the vessel HVAC systems safely and efficiently,
  • Install, remove and replace the elements of the vessel HVAC systems, using hand and power tools and appropriate fittings.
  • Perform troubleshooting on the vessel HVAC systems.
  • Be able to read HVAC layout drawings.
  • Provide support to the engine room department when required to do so.
  • Be responsible for good housekeeping on the work site.
  • Wear the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), wherever required.
  • Participate to the Toolbox talks meeting and JSA (Job Safety Analysis), wherever required.
  • Report to the 2nd Engineer.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements: 
  • Accredited qualification.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a Vessel HVAC Technician role for offshore Vessel HVAC Technician with Offshore Industrial Airconditioning System & Compressors experience.
  • Valid OPITO approved BOSIET or OSIET/HUET/THUET/FOET.
  • Mandatory requirement STCW required certificates, National CoC Reg. III/1 and endorsement
  • MOU stability course (where applicable).
  • Have experience as a Seaman and knowledge of Maritime rules and regulations.
  • Must be proficient in English, oral and written communication.
