VP Exploration & Technical Services

TRS Staffing Solutions is working with a junior mining company which is anticipated to become an operating company in the very near future and looking for a strategic hire for VP in Exploration and Technical Services in their Toronto or Vancouver office.

Based on their forecast, they would commence production by the end of next year. Culture - being able to execute and deliver on those projects in South America. They are looking for an executive level professional who wants to be part of a growing team that promotes rewards and recognition, who will have the opportunity to work with seasoned board team, and engage with big players in the mining industry who vested in this company.

Details and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geology
- P.Geo registration in Canada
- General Managers and Exploration Managers will be reporting to this role
- This candidate will be overseeing the exploration component of ongoing projects in South America, updating and delivering pre-feasibility studies in the projects, and producing the first resource statement of the project.
- As this is a small group, the ability to wear multiple hats is expected for this role
- Travel requirement: 50%
- At least 15 years of mining and geological experience in exploration, bidding, NI43 101 reporting, reserves and resources
- Solid supervision, coaching and mentoring background
- Project management experience, proposal writing, and coordination with internal stakeholders and other project sites within South America is a must for this role
- Someone who has worked on South America mining projects is an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
