• Progress Management: Actively monitor and manage the delivery of all assigned project equipment and materials to ensure they align with project timescales.
• Supplier Liaison: Interface directly with suppliers to progress materials, equipment, and associated technical documentation.
• Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Work closely with Engineering, Construction, and Material Controllers to ensure all parties are aligned on delivery dates and receipt requirements.
• Reporting & Compliance: Produce and maintain detailed expediting reports and material status logs to provide real-time visibility to stakeholders.
• Problem Resolution: Proactively identify potential delays in the manufacturing or shipping process and implement mitigation strategies.
• PO Close-out: Assist in the formal closing out of purchase orders, including archiving documents and resolving supplier invoice queries.

As global supply chains become more volatile, the role of the Expeditor is shifting from reactive tracking to "predictive expediting." The integration of real-time logistics tracking (IoT) and AI-driven supply chain analytics allows Expeditors to foresee global shipping disruptions weeks in advance.
