Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join one of our valued clients as an assistant Contracts & Procurement Manager. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a sharp commercial acumen and a proven track record in overseeing comprehensive contract and procurement functions across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Tender & Contract Award
- Prepare contractor requirement schedules and update as per project progress
- Shortlist and pre-qualify contractors
- Coordinate contract service requests and initiate tendering
- Draft tender documents, float tenders, and manage pre-bid communications
- Conduct bid evaluations, negotiations, and finalize contractors
- Draft LOA/LOI and conduct kick-off meetings
- Issue work orders and ensure contractor mobilization
- Manage contractual correspondence and change orders
- Coordinate with execution teams for drawings, schedules, and performance tracking
- Conduct weekly progress meetings and maintain MOMs
- Ensure contract closure post Defects Liability Period
- Maintain MIS logs and documentation
- Dispute Resolution & Claims
- Resolve disputes and support arbitration processes
- Prepare statements of claim and assist legal teams
- Analyze and cost claims, brief counsels
- Build and maintain vendor relationships
- Implement vendor certification systems
- Source materials, float tenders, and finalize suppliers
- Track deliveries and certify bills
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Civil, MEP, and Finishing works
- Expertise in contract conditions, FIDIC, EPC, and Indian Contract Law
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
- Knowledge of IS codes and market trends
- Excellent planning, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
- Claims and change management experience
