Job Description:
BIM Manager – The BIM Manager shall be responsible for overall planning, management, coordination, and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for all Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) systems of the CMRL project, ensuring compliance with CMRL BIM Standards, Employer’s Requirements, ISO 19650, and project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
Role Overview:
The BIM Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling all Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities for the CMRL project, ensuring full compliance with CMRL BIM Standards, Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), contract specifications, and project milestones. The role acts as the single point of authority for BIM governance, coordination, and model integrity across all disciplines.
Key responsibilities:
- The key role of BIM Manager is to implement all the procedures of BIM deliverables as per contract requirements.
- BIM Manager will prepare and update the BIM Execution plan as per contract requirements.
- Responsible for the development of BIM Models during all the phases of construction.
- Establish and maintain Common Data Environment (CDE) protocols for E&M disciplines.
- Responsible for developing the BIM Infrastructure like required software, hardware & collaboration strategy.
- Initiating the BIM meeting with GC/CMRL's & other contractors.
- Coordinate E&M models with Architectural, Structural, Track, Civil, and System-wide interfaces.
- Responsible for the preparation of model templates, schedules and other necessary BIM documents.
- Internal coordination with Design team for design inputs.
- Preparing and reviewing the QC of the BIM Model.
- Lead and manage E&M BIM Engineers, Coordinators, and Modellers.
- Responsible for the clash Deduction and coordination of the model.
- Responding /implementing the decision made in the coordination meeting.
- Responsible for the shop drawing & As built drawing as per standards.
- Responsible for working through BIM 360 & making the submissions through in BIM 360.
- Support integration of BIM data with FM/Asset Management systems during development of As-Built BIM models incorporating all site change.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/Electronic Engineering with 10 years of total experience, including a minimum of 5 years of relevant BIM experience in Underground Metro.
